As project manager ‘Art’ for Holland America Line Cruise-lines, Mariecke Siezen was responsible for planning, budgeting, determining and designing locations for art on board, selection and purchases of artworks, commissioning artworks, restoration and conservation, frames, transport and mounting on board, documentation and valuation of all artworks on board the cruise-ships.

  • M/S Amsterdam (CCL/HAL/VFD)
  • M/S Zuiderdam (CCL/HAL/VFD-del.2002)
  • M/S Oosterdam (CCL/HAL/VFD-del.2003)

These 5-Star cruise-ships were adorned with a collection of 17th-20th century art and antiques, some of museum quality and high art-historical value. The total budget was 6 about million US Dollar, including the commissioned 240m2 art ceiling of the main dining area and the 9-meters high atrium centerpiece.
